Since carbon does not strain or bend in a predictable manner like aluminum, it's impossible for Stages to be added to carbon crank arms. So the only option for an SRAM GXP crank, is the Rival arm. Unfortunately, this is 80g heavier than the Red arm, so there is a total of 100g weight added on the left side. One can notice this when rotating the crank backwards off the bike, but I am unable to while bicycling. I have an open support ticket with Stages asking if they have any data indicating having a heavier left crank arm makes any difference. At my level I very much doubt it matters. I found the almost new Rival Stages crank arm on eBay at a great discount, and that's good enough for me.
