Hey thanks a lot! :thumbup:

deltree wrote:Nice. I'm going to be "downgrading" to a CAAD10 too. That's if the distributor still has a 52cm left. What's your height and BB-saddle height? Thinking I'll use a Zipp carbon seatpost for a bit of flex.

To be honest I have no idea the exact number is, I guessed by feel. Once I find my measuring tape, I'll let you know!

Bianchi10 wrote:Must be the color, but i think this looks 10 times better than your evo.

Thanks man! I love this color too.

jbaillie wrote:What a great looking bike! You've spent your money in the right places, for sure.

Have you submitted these shots of the bike to Ryan from Slam That Stem? Might inspire him to get the blog back up and running.

I have yet to submit them. I figured he's no longer posting, so I didn't. I can give it a try!

http://www.cannondale.com/catalog/produ ... egory/916/ **There's a tiny grey box on the top. Click it, and the frame changes colors.

Thanks for the compliments! I plan on ordering 6800 this week, but I don't plan on installing the group until my other parts come in. This way, it's a one time swap, so it may be awhile.

I was previously asked, I do not ride the 404s everyday. As appealing as they are, replacement tires are not in my budget. Instead, I ride Shimano RS-11s w/ Gatorskins.

Parts I intend to replace

Cockpit
1) Zipp Stem 110mm -> 120mm
2) Zipp Bars 40cm -> 42cm
3) Zipp SL Speed Seatpost

OR

1) Ritchey Monocurve 42cm x 120mm
2) Whichever Ritchey setback seatpost that matches the bars

Other parts
1) Praxis Classic Rings
2) Cable housing
3) Training Wheelset

wow, so nice.

nice parts aside, your photographs make the frame look so much nicer than the pics on cannondale's website.

I assume there's a terrific deal or you wouldn't buy 6800 to put in storage?

TBH, I'm actually thinking the bike is perfect as is ;)

Yeah, there is a great deal. Able to score the entire group sans crankset for <$400 :D

Maybe then Ryan will be inspired to send people headset covers they paid for last year. :evil:

Have you not received yours? I didn't order mine from STS, but from Portland Bicycle Studio.

Nope. Ordered from STS (metallic poutine) 8/1/13. I inquired on 8/13 asking why my order was still "processing" and got an email from Ryan on 8/14 saying they had been short on supply, and he gave me a $5 refund and said the part would be in the mail that night. Follow-up email from me on 9/17 asking if the part had ever been sent went unanswered. Follow-up email from me on 10/17 requesting full refund went unanswered. My order is still showing as "processing," but I expect it will never show up. C'est la vie.

By the way, your bike looks awesome! Maybe I'll get around to taking some shots of my red CAAD10 and posting them, but I don't think I can compare to this one here. Great look all around!

Very tidy bike. How does the ride compare to the Evo?
