Just finished building a bike where the goal was budget for once.
I got a great deal on a boxed 2014 bianchi infintio CV athena, sold the athena and bits and pieces.
Was able to recycle some bits from my previous build, got a great deal on a record groupset and a set of Reynolds Assault SLG.

Frame: bianchi infinto CV 55cm
Group: 2014 Campagnolo Record 11 mechanical compact
Post: 3T ionic 25 stealth carbon
stem: 3T arx II team stealth 110cm
bars: 3T rotundo stealth carbon 44cm
seat: Fizik aliante gamma (came with bike which is my preferred seat) I sanded and painted rails
pedals: Speedplay stainless
Cages: Elite pace carbon
wheels: Reynolds assault slg
tires: Vittoria corsa evo CX

I didn't weigh individual parts, but total weight is 7.17kg (some better wheels and saddle would be easy weight drops, but I won't bother)
I spent a total of AUD $5897 (budget was $6000)
I am very happy with the way it came out, not sure I would change anything within the budget, possibly wheels, but I like them so far.

only ridden it once, but it was buttery smooth. Seemed stiff enough although I didn't ride very hard, also my first ride on 25mm wide carbon hoops, so will be interesting to see how it compares with Campy Eurus, which I like, but find quite harsh.

Getting a fair amount of noise that sounds like cable noise in the front, only on rough roads, anyone got any idea if I can reduce this somehow? I've not experienced this on previous frames with internal routing...

Is there still the rubber sleeve in the compression bolt cap? We had on come through our shop making the same noise and after a hour and a half we figured out it was just that little sleeve on the compression bolt taping the steerer tube. You don't really need it if that is what's making the noise.

no you don't need it as long as your plug is set in the proper position based on where your stem is. I took mine out on my sempre as well. They are really just annoying.
By the way, awesome bike. I'm considering getting one too.

Yeap, it's that plastic sleeve. I had exactly the same problem as well.
What's that thing for anyway ?
I contacted the store where I got the frame, but didn't get a answer as to what's the function of that thing.

Its a stupid thing that expander.

Also the contactpoints of the expander on the inside of the forktube are only two very small ribs.
Imo an idiotic design. Better is to spread the load on a larger part of the tube.

Counts also for the included seatpostclamp.
That clamp has also only two very small ribs that contact the seattube.
One rib clamps on the total outer end of the seattube..
