That Oltre is all business. How do you like the Zipps? They were on my short list.

the Zipps come off my Madone6.9 (2009) and i only use them for races. they are ok, stiff enough but not overly so( has some flex if you really push it) i would like to be able to go with a lighter set of 40mm but the costs have just gone out of the roof as of late.( the same wheel, though the Firecrest, cost more than double what i paid for them here)

i think its now more down to the legs talking ( thats the problem  )

i like your wheel set, good and solid build should be stiff as well.

I'm currently riding some 2012 durace c35 clinchers. I've put about 12000 km on them and they haven't skipped a beat. If the Enve's are at least as good then I'll be very happy.Image

Still no sign of the missing components. Depressing...

Pre fit photo. Pretty happy with the weight considering the vectors.

We just so happen to share an almost identical dream build. I've been eagerly awaiting those finished pictures. Really love the little celeste accents, especially that chain!

Thank you for all the comments.

Quick first ride report.

I had time to do a quick 25km local loop to test out the position and get an initial feel for her.

I have the riding position slightly more aggressive than my Merida. The bike felt a little twitchy but nothing I can't live with. The upside is that She changes direction very nicely. It was quite windy and I'm happy to say the enve's handled it better than I expected. I could feel a little bit of movement but really no more than my Durace c35's.

The biggest surprise was the comfort. I really expected to get beaten up but honestly it was only slightly less comfortable than the Merida.

I think I need my Vectors reinstalled. My LBS didn't have a torque wrench on hand so they tightened them by feel.

This is my first time on Campagnolo so I'm getting used to the lever positions but so far so good. And electronic changes are amazing.

Again this is only an initial ride to test the position. I'll be out in the morning for a 80km local loop to really see how she goes.

Quick pic before my ride. Pictures don't do this bike justice.Image

A bike shop without a torque wrench? Well that's disturbing.

Still a great looking bike, there is something about Bianchis.

I highly recommend getting those pedals correctly torqued asap. It certainly is a bit odd an LBS doesnt have a torque wrench. But its a beautiful bike, non the less. Definitely on my list of dream builds.
