I've just bought a second hand Parlee Z5 with SRAM Red (the cranks are Force) and Enve wheels. The Zipp stem is tilted up because I have a back issue and like the higher riding position. When put together in my LBS here in NW Scotland it weighed 6.65kg. Then it just had some old pedals on so I could ride home (as in photo). With the new pedals it's slightly lighter.

I see there are a few Parlee fans on this forum, so could I ask if anyone knows how much the frame alone would have cost when new in 2011/12? I think that's the correct dates for this model but would stand be corrected.

Rides lovely!
Simon

I'm sure you got a good deal. As long as the frame is OK then some people pay full retail for them and are happy ;-) Obviously buying new you also get the warranty, fitting and post-sales service which in my experience puts other manufacturers to shame.

See Sigma Sport's pages for current prices. Older models were a couple of hundred cheaper. Z4 on introduction to UK was about GBP2200 for a basic colour, then it went up from there.

All useful, interesting information, thank you very much. I wasn't absolutely certain of the age but 2010 sounds right, and I am confident it has a healthy subsequent history.

Does anyone know the UK frame price rather than me doing a straight US$ to UK£ conversion rate please? (I'm trying to get some figures for insurance). The drivetrain is almost all new which is why I'm trying to separate the frame price.

Thanks again.

(Oh and sorry about the double posting! I hit the back key on the browser and it sent the page twice. I'd be delighted id a moderator could kill the other accidental thread - I don't know how to).

The Z5 was £2700 when it came to the UK. Shortly after it's uk launch Barry at bespoke showed it at the London bike show, I went specifically to see it.

Hope this helps
