Scott Addict CX Build
Moderators: MrCurrieinahurry, maxim809, Moderator Team
Hey all. Welcome to my first build thread! It's only been a few months since I gathered all the tools and experience needed to do this on my own, and I thought what's a better way to start than with a true WW paint stripped addict cross frame? I stumbled on this thing for a great price and plan to build it up in the next month. Unfortunately, being a student, I have a pretty strict budget so weight is not going to be spectacular on this bike. Nevertheless, it's going to be a fun process. Here's the build list:

Yes, weight is after the paint was stripped. It includes the derailleur hanger, seat post collar, and bottle cage bolts. I was a bit disappointed since the claimed weight for this frame is a staggering 990 g (including paint!!!). I knew it was too good to be true. Updates coming soon.
Update: Most of drivetrain is installed. Unfortunately, the steerer came very short and I am currently searching for a new stem/fork. Any suggestions for stems with < 40 mm stack height would be very helpful. Apparently I also don't have a 31.6 mm seat post like I thought, and I'll have to purchase one soon.
Frame Weight with paint stripped, water bottle bolts, seatpost collar, and derailleur hanger - 1118 g:

It's great to see a nice stealthy cx-bike. Good work and good choice of value-for-money-parts.

Yes but it's also twice the price. I also have found the Zipp tape to be really comfy too. I might end up putting Lizardskins on my roadie next time it needs a change though.
