I really think this will be my next frame.... by my calculations I need a 52cm frame based on comparisons of my current frame to the geo of the 066sl. Do you think you should have gone down a size? How tall are you and what's your inseam if you don't mind me asking?

yeah i do kind of wish i sized down to a 52.

1- it would've looked cooler with more post and stem
2- i prefer a bit shorter front-center for handling a bit more weight over the front (with a 110mm stem)
3- less stack height would've been nice

but looks aside ill be perfectly content with the 54 once my 120mm/17° stem arrives

measurements are;
height : 5'11/180cm
PBH/true inseam : 35in/90cm

both measured while in cycling shoes

How's it holding up? How many miles do you have on it?

been holding up great. i have roughy 3500mi/5600km on it.

i don't really have any complaints, its taken whatever I've thrown at it. recently some small cracks have developed near the seat clamp but i attribute this as user error on my part, i definitely over-torqued the clamp.

the only criticism i can come up with is that the fork seems like it could be a bit more forgiving. i didn't mind the stiffness at first but now i do wish it would soak up a bit more road vibrations and small impacts. in the future i may consider something like a columbus grammy to replace it.

heres the spec of how it sits

frame: fm-066sl - 54cm
fork: 066sl

headset: neco
stem: pro plt 130mm x -10°
bar: pro plt compact - 38cm

saddle: bontrager
post: bontrager 1bolt
clamp: profile racing slim jim

crank: shimano 105 5700 - 53/39
pedal: shimano r540
f.der: shimano 105 5700
r.der: shimano 105 5700 - short cage
cassette: shimano 105 5700 - 12-27
chain: shimano ultegra 6701
brakes: shimano 105 1055 - short reach
levers/shifters: campagonolo centaur 10 speed powershift
cabling: jagwire racer

wheels: shimano rs21
tires: panaracer gravelking - 28mm (acutal = 27.5mm)
tubes: vittoria ultralight

other: token chain catcher + alloy f.der mounting bolt, jtek shiftmate for campag10 x shimano10 compatibility, basic alloy bottle cages, custom top cap, origin 8 bar tape, bolt on skewers, blinky light

no idea on the kg's, but its not really lightweight. wheels/tires and crank are quite hefty

Could you take some pics of tyre clearance? Sounds ideal if your getting a 28 in there.
