I've been a long time lurker for info on the forums and never signed up until recently.. but I figured now is a better time than never to share and introduce myself and my bikes.

Well let's get the show on the road and introduce my ladies..

First up is 'ol Becky, she's old but get's the job done!

9.7 kg with Garmin GSC-10 and K-Edge mount and no bottle cages.
9.97 kg with cages added on.

Used the quill adapter last year to convert to a modern stem and handlebar cockpit. I've considered looking for a way to upgrade the Shimano 600 group to 105 or something but I currently lack the knowledge as to how to go about that. (any info would be greatly appreciated)

And next up is 'ol Lucy, she's my "race" bike but pretty much my everything bike..
Weighs in at 13.6 kg (30 lbs even!) Not the lightest and not the burliest, but I've done bike parks, Downieville, and anything else that's come my way. She fits me great and just going to keep her until something unfortunate happens. Most likely upgrade to a 2x10 setup at some point but my 3x10 works for now. Went tubeless this winter with Crank Brothers Cobalt 2 wheels.. and I will most likely NOT do bike parks with those wheels, just keep them for race days.

And there you have it..

Welcome! What year is that Epic? I'm a sucker for classic lugged frames.

93-94 is what I can narrow it down to.

Both years have white and yellow decals with that same paint, so I can't pinpoint the exact year. But that's my best guess.

I figured it was around there. Great paint and minimal graphics.

a modern 105 group should fit up with little to no trouble at all. do you know the rear spacing? if its 126mm you might have some issues going 10speed but its doable

certainly would look sweet decked out in black 105 bits!

I think it's 130mm rear spacing. I have to double check, but I think that was the spacing last time I measured. If not it's 135mm.. It's currently running the 8-Speed.

The updates I had in mind were:

Complete 105 group, w/ compact crank
Ritchey 1" Carbon fork
1" chris king headset
3T ergonova cockpit
3T seatpost
and a set of nice black clincher wheels.

But like I mentioned earlier, I'm to wuss to start tearing it apart to do all that, and missing some tools for the job as well.
