I wanted to build a new CX bike "on a decent budget" also using parts that I had around the house... so I went for a chinese frame (Tantan Seraph C9).
Brand:Tantan Seraph Type: C9
Final weight: 8.1Kg as pictured. I count to shave 300grams using carbon tubs wheelset and maybe a better saddle + cutting the seatpost (which is way too long)
Basically it has the same weight as the Inflite CF SLX 9 Team at half the cost...
Built:
Frame: Seraph C9, size 54, 1100grams, flat mount, BSA BB
Fork: 400 grams
Headset: come with the frame
seatpost clamp: same
Seatpost: same, 225gr
Seat: wiggle cosine 260gr...I had it around
Stem: chinese toseek100mm, 105gr
Bar: Easton EA70 270grams, Di2 compatible, but I had to drill another hole to have cables running inside
Bartape: Easton CX
Ultegra Di2 R8070 groupset, short cage RD
Crankset : Praxi with powermeter 4iii
Bottom Bracket: chinese ceramic
Chainrings: 46/36
Cassette: 11-34 Ultegra, race wheels will have 11-28
Wheels: Stan's Crest... I got it from a old MTB, changed the hubs adaptors to 142x12, etc
Tires: WTB rambler 37
Pedals: Shimano XTR
CycloCross bike tantan/Seraph CX C9 7.8kg
Moderators: MrCurrieinahurry, maxim809, Moderator Team

It is definetely CX bike, the headtube is quite short, all the geometry is aggressive enough for racing... unfortunately due to different lockdowns,I did not really tested it... hopefully autumn 21...
