Just built up this Carrera for customer Eric S who had been eyeing her for a while.
Frameset: Carrera Phibra 2
Group: SRAM Force 22
Cockpit: Ritchey WCS Carbon stem with Superlogic bar
ISP cap: FSA 2-bolt
Saddle: S-Works Toupe (not my choice;)
Wheels: Easton SLX with upgraded ceramic 11-speed freehub
Tires: Conti Competition Tubular 25mm
Pedals: Looks Keo Blade 15nm
I took her for a quick spin and man is this a cool combo of stiffness and vibration absorption.
Not insanely quick off the mark, but seems to get more comfortable at speed and settles in to long days in the saddle like most monocoques could only dream of.
Thanks for checking...we have a few more photos up on the website as well.
Oh, and weight was almost right on 15 lbs with pedals and cages!
Best,
Mike / Cip

I Think that looks great. I would be interested in hearing more about the ride. I read two very mixed reviews in regard to stiffens. One said stiff and one used a noodle to describe it. This is not a brand I have seen in the U.S. and I like riding something that isn't common as long as it performs well.

For context, what size frame is that Mike?

erm, no thanks. Mondrian can be done tastefully (see Look 586/595) but I've always thought the Phibra is an odd looking frame...
I actually liked it, even if it is a very, very odd fish (in fairness I like Dogmas too... so that's probably saying nothing), but where is the blue?!

I will try to get some direct feedback from Eric, but I know our two prior Phibra customers were very pleased.
One in particular was coming off a Dogma and R3SL and said the Carrera was almost as stiff as the Dogma but way more comfortable than both of his other rigs.
As for the color, it is pretty out there...apparently the Japanese market demanded it.
New schemes are pretty sweet for 2014, actually: http://www.carrera-podium.it/bikes/phibra-evo
