Hi, my name is Josh, and I make some stuff. I own a small bike shop in Ft. Worth, TX. I also hand build composite saddles as well as a few other little things. I don't have much time to work on this stuff, but I have enjoyed producing carbon saddles with the goals of light weight and comfort. I'll post some pictures and updates here from time to time. I hope some of you will enjoy seeing my stuff.

This is a saddle that is made with an Innegra material then covered in white cowhide leather. Oval carbon rails. Weight is 98g. It has a nice bit of flex provided by the cut-out that is hidden by the leather.

Sorry for the poor quality photo. This design is from Selle Slr, and I've modified the shape by adding a channel down the center and flattening the ischial support area. I'm pleased with the weight and ride quality of this one.

This one rides great! Super comfortable, and I've been using on the CX bike (I've dumped it a few times too) without any problems. 95g with cowhide.

I was recently invited to a custom bicycle show to show off these saddles. I have been apprehensive about going public with these, but the response from the show-goers was inspiring. Soon, I'll be producing some unique composite seatposts with some help from Gjertsen Cycling.

Awesome work! Do you make custom shapes based on 'big brand' models?

Welcome Josh! That is some great stuff. Very impressive for just something you do on the side for fun. Do you mind sharing which shop in Ft. Worth? If not you can PM.

Very cool. North America has a budding Berk Composites competitor!

Glam pic of another one of my builds in 3k-twill. All of the materials that I use are really nice. I use only aerospace grade composites, with exceptions for some aesthetic-only materials such as 1k plain weave, some colored 'glass hybrid materials, and Innegra hybrids.

Two quick questions;

1. When you say aerospace quality composites do you mean HM fibers or prepreg or what?
2. Why Innegra? For the flexibility?

Your seats look very good. Very well thought out and carefully constructed. I look forward to seeing more of your work in the future.

Aerospace grade materials are usually categorized as such by their weight and strength. wet-layup and infusions are still common in aerospace material construction. The quality of the material is most commonly gauged by ksi, gsm, and flexural modulus. I typically use wet-layup methods due to it's versatility, and it allows me to use a variety of materials. Innegra improves these products by offering impact resistance, flexibility, and vibration damping, all while reducing weight. Did that cover everything?
