What started out as a build for my wife ended with me upgrading my bike and building her a bike with all my left overs.
While living in The Netherlands i built an Aeroad which was all stealth. Now having moved back to Perth, Australia i wanted a bit of change so i come up with the following

* Sram Red to 9070 Di2. Had to be a retro fit as the frame was not set up for Di2. I cut, soldered and heat shrunk the wires then hid them in the BB. I thought this would be the hardest part of the build but it turned out to be very simple
* Easton EC90SL clinchers/Continental to Reynolds 46/Vittoria Corsa
* Easton EC90SL stem +/-10 to Easton EC90SL 0 degree
* Custom Paint with new Canyon decals
* Nokon Cables for the brakes

6.9 kegs :-(....i thought it would be less (despite weighing it 10 times). I am sure there are areas where i could save weight but it rides perfect so i am happy. Also i have just bought a unique colour C59 so now my focus will shift to that and i will not dwell too much on the "Shoulda, Coulda " and just ride the wheels off it.

Out with the old

The Sram Red groupset came off my Canyon. Crankset with Praxis chainrings
The Reynolds wheels with the Chris King hubs were going on the Canyon but i put them on the Giant.
Everything else i got with the frame. It was a great deal for a lady's Giant frame (AUD$600), too good to not to buy. Comes in at 7.1kg...given its my wifes bike and she's happy then i'm happy.

Nice!

Nice build and I am sure that it rides fantastically! Weight isn't always everything.....we all try to make our bikes as light as possible, but a few grams here and there won't change your enjoyment of a great bike. I am trying to shift my weight weenieism from my bike to my a**!! I bet I could climb better if I lost my bike weight from me!

Looks nice. I really like those Canyons.

Just a thought, next time don't take pictures of your bikes with garbage in the background. It takes away from how great your bikes are.

Agree on the shots near the bin. It was a last minute thing and i didnt take much time with it.

As for the "special colour" for the c59, maybe i was getting a bit a head of myself. A say special because i havent seen one like it in Perth, and i have only seen one on WW. Its a love it or hate colour...i'm sure it will get a mixed response
