hi everyone

the name is Alistaire, 20 year old uni student.

Used to be a competitive swimmer but making the jump to cycling.

current ride is a Bauer RS300 and currently working on a project for my first carbon bike.( also considering caad 10)

build so far.

ultegra 6800
cages: bontrager xxx 14g ea
pedals: time expresso 8 ( considering getting 12's though)
saddle: fizik arione 200g
stem: ritchey wcs 260 wet black 100mm 100g
handlebar: fsa k force new ergo 195g
cables: Aican Bungarus shift/brake kit
wheelset: campagnolo scirocco 35
tyres: schwalbe ultremo zx hd folding (198g/196g)
tubes: conti supersonic's
bar tape: fizik superlight

yet to finalise which frameset I'm going to build up but current options are: falco Peregrine Isp, Canondale supersix evo 5, Avanti corsa dr team and caad 10.
leaning towards the Falco due to being a student and limited funds as well as always have enjoyed the concept of an integrated seat post, the caad 10 is tempting as i can get a deal on the frameset from a lbs though.

(no pictures as of yet but when the new ride is finished will post some up)

+ if i end up getting a non isp plan is to try and get hold of a ritchey super-logic seatpost

:welcome:

Have you been able to test ride any of the frames? I guess you could probably ride an EVO somewhere. It would be good to get a few miles on a bike to really make the best decision. Also, to save some serious money you could consider a CAAD 10. It has the same geometry as an EVO but in aluminum. I just bought my second CAAD 10 and love it. Great value for the money.

Good luck with the build and be sure to post as many pictures as possible! We love photos.
