How are you liking Force 22? I'm throwing it on my new bike (have test ridden SRAM, but not Force 22, before) and have heard nothing but praise thus far. Anything to watch out for?

I love it. First time SRAM user and I was pleasantly surprised how much I like DoubleTap. The one thing to watch for is the front mech setup....you MUST follow the instructions to get it sorted correctly.

Local shop is taking care of setup for me, but glad to hear you liking the group. Force22 really seems to be hitting a sweet spot of price and performance.

Got myself Apex brakes for a secondary bike build after reading they'd have good clearance. Would be a bummer if they didn't. Was hoping to run 30mm Challenge Almanzos (on Open Pro rims, which are not wide).

I am not sure....it is the straight portion of the arm that seems to limit the clearance. I am not sure if it is just a symptom of all dual pivot calipers? The PX brakes had huge amounts of clearance, but that makes sense due to the single pivot design.

Apex brakes clear my 28 mm tires easily, I imagine there won't by any problems with 30s (as long as they are pretty true to size).

Starting with a 56cm 2013 CAAD10 4 w/Rival that I got on end-of-season clearance. Going to sell the group, crankset (FSA Energy and SRAM S951 standard cranks) and wheels (Fulcrum Racing 7) if anyone is interested.
I bought Force 22 group, Hollowgram SL cranks and will be using both wheelsets from my previous build.
Awesome looking Caad!
I love that your "budget" bike is straying dangerously close to dream bike territory.
