I love virtually everything on Pegoretti frames except those looong headtubes.

It's not that long, it's that the top tube is dropped to have a tighter front triangle on large bikes.

Is there a reason for that? Wouldn't the headtube be pretty soft instead like it is now?

Pegoretti is probably the coolest bikebrand, no other even close :) Looking forward to see this beauty finished

I doubt anything is going to get soft on this bike. I think the idea is to have a smaller stiffer front triangle. The headtube is a D11 headtube that Dario designed. This think is oversized and takes a CK D11 headset designed for him as well.

Not sure if serious.

The paint is his Ciavete or "Dario's choice" and can be shock to some.

Very nice. You have something unique and personal.

A Pegoretti is on my bucket list.

+1, a Pegoretti w/ the Ciavete paint is definitely my go to "just won the lottery" bike. All of his paint jobs are beautifully unique and eccentric, but having the ciavete makes it that much more special.

Can't wait to see the full build.
