Hey all, thought i would drop by and show my current project bike. Bought it earlier this year, stripped it down and left the frame in the garage for a few months.

Finally got around to getting some parts for it as follows:

Frame: Specialized Allez Sport 2013
Handlebars: 3T ergonova ltd (40cm)
Stem: 3T arx team stealth (110mm)
Seatpost: 3T dorico ltd
Saddle: Fizik antares carbon braided
Bottle Cages: arundel mandible oil slick
Brakes: shimano 105
Chainset: sram red exogram gxp double 53-39(175mm)
Shifters: sram red
R/Derailleur: sram red
F/Derailleur: sram red
Chain: kmc x10sl
Cassette: sram pg-1050 11-26
Wheels: fulcrum racing 5 CX
Pedals: shimano 105
Bar tape: lizard skin dsp 3.2mm
Tyres: Continental 4 seasons

Quite disappointed that it wasn't lighter than 18.02 lbs, however there is still plenty of upgrades i can do around this frame!

Feel free to scrutinise my set-up, offer advice on upgrades etc.
I was thinking some tubular wheels, lighter brakes, pedals and cassette to knock off a considerable amount of weight.

Looks good! That frame is very heavy compared to the higher level models....those use the tarmac fork and I think the sport fork has an metal steerer. So a lighter fork would help a lot; however, as is it would be a sick crit bike!

Had an Allez in Spain as a hire bike, it was superb even with 105. Now this is on another level....

Looks like carbon fork to me though. The opening on the stem reveals it.

It's got an aluminum steerer, but fact carbon forks themselves. I think an enve 2.0 fork would be a good replacement, though would i leave it black or get it sprayed to match the frame? :?

I think the black ENVE fork would look good on it and it would be a solid upgrade for some weight loss.

I'd say paint it!

Maybe re-paint your whole frame while you're at it to get your own unique paintscheme.

Either that or strip the frame to bare aluminum and leave the fork.....that would look good as well with blacked out stem, saddle, seatpost, etc....

Very nice bike LocoDuck 8) . Would you mind asking what height are you and what frame size is it?

Re the crit bike comment ...

Yes on the basis the frame is relatively cheap and alu.

No in that the continual hard accelerations in that type of riding puts a premium on light weight.

Stacks will more often than not shaft the bars and shifters rather than anything else - carbon frames really are pretty resilient and don't normally take the brunt of it anyway.

Alu bars and Rival/105/Centaur shifters ...
