Hey there

I'd like to introduce myself (hello from Zürich, Switzerland) and my simplon serum, which i've built with mostly second hand components.

One of the best bikes on the WW forum. Just love the simple black - only the stem must be black/white ;)

Nice bikes and photos!
Needs an all black or B&W stem.

great bike and picture quality! wheelset a little to deep for my taste (one of my team mates rides his serum with mavic rsys, which fits perfect in my opinion)
optical illusion, or is there a shorter stem on the outdoor-picture?
regards,

Alessandro

Interesting how many people dislike the stems color.

The Problem is with 3t that the stems are painted red and I'm not sure whether theres a way to properly paint again over it.

@Krull Stem is the same.
I have a pair of Campy Shamals as well but they look a tad bit "standard". I prefer to have classic steelframes with low Rims.

Alessandro, I'm pretty sure you can remove the paint easily with some acetone.

locktopus, could be - i'm just wondering what it will turn into? Bare Aluminium won't look good either.

I've seen others here have done it and it has just gone down to the black below.

Nice bike, really like how the tan side walls pop on the black!

Stem is anodized black and graphics are painted, so acetone will not harm the black. You would need much stronger chemicals to damage the black surface. I have removed the graphics from my Uno stem this way successfully.
