Glorious looking bike, Sir. I had a lovely old Fender Strat in Candy Apple Red, and this colour brings back some very happy memories.

Mind you, the white plastic parts on the guitar fade to a very, very pale green over time. It's a strange sounding combination, but it's beautiful to look at. If it was possible to get tape, saddle and graphics in that shade, I'd have found my dream colour scheme.

I had a black California Strat with the same white plastic pickup guards and pick guard. The "patina" it acquires is unique. Never saw it on red, though. That was probably stunning.

Wish I never sold that guitar.

Thanks!

I've got some lighter wheels in-the-works that should drop some weight off the bike. I love the 3.4s (they are perhaps the best all-around wheel I've ridden -- far better IMHO than Lightweights); I'm just curious what I can do with a really light wheelset.

Trying out some ENVE Classic 25s (just as they announce the SES 2.2s).

Thoughts? Reactions? Hate? Love?

Low profiles and a solid color frame always looks good :)

I think it looked better with the Mavic CCUs.

Thanks @erik$, @Ozrider, and @fa63

I've got a fresh new pair of ENVE 4.5s. Was trying to decide whether to glue them up with skinwalls or all black.

Given the way the CCUs look, I think I'll go all black.

I vote for Enve with skinwalls.

Can't decide on the skinwalls.

I'm re-gluing a rear for the CCUs (ran it through until it flatted). A new black Vittoria is going on that.

I'm either going to sell the 4.5s (do I really *need* two sets of semi-deep wheels) or glue up skinwalls.

@ToffieBoi - What about:

Skinwalls to AX-Lightness Ultra 24T Extralite (770g?)
Black to ENVE 4.5
CCUs for sale
Classic 25s for sale

hmm...

Are those AX-Lightness flexy as hell?

Sounds good to me :D
I have no idea how they ride though.
I just like skin-wall tires on narrow profile rims more :)
