my 58cm RCA needs your help

Well after getting the bike in and putting it on the scale it was not what i was hoping for. I lost only 30g over my Felt f1 frameset but there are lots of upgrades i can do with the RCA to increase that number. I was also sad to see that the jump from 56cm-58cm was a 59gm weight increase where all the size increases from the smaller sizes were only 10gm increases. All that sadness was tossed out of the window once i rode the bike. It is a very fast machine and i killed some KOM that i had been trying for months on, which made it a little better for me. But i need your help with this one, right now i pulled over the stuff from my Felt but i want to upgrade this bike till it cannot be upgraded anymore. The only restriction we have is i have lost a lot of my MM but am not light. I currently weight 210 pounds and i cannot go down any further. Thanks and hope we can build something in the high 9's low 10's. This will be my everyday bike and lets get it done. Thanks guys.

There's another thread with a guy whose rca came in at under 11 pounds. My 56 cm rca is at 14 even with zipp 404 tubbies, di2 9070 and a Quarq for reference. But I would comment that your best bet for improved climbing performance is to lose more body weight.

My frame including the rubber cable grommets and brake cable stops, RD hanger, seat post collar, water bottle bolts was 659 gm. Uncut fork was 313 gms.

i was not so lucky, after reading your thread i was thinking that mine would come in lighter than what it did but i looked at the white papers and it is only a little heavy than the ave in the 58cm. I cannot lose anymore weight myself as i am getting complaints from my wife and my parents that i am too skinny now. So i am just going to try and take it off the bike. Right now the bike comes in at 11.3 but i have DA 7900 cranks running while i wait for my THM CLA cranks to come in. I have a couple of ideas on the build but am looking for other ideas to get this down low and still work as an everyday bike.

Please post your current component/planned build list so we can provide feedback accordingly. High 9s is probably possible but I think reliability will be compromised at that weight point given frame size and the fact that this will be a daily driver. Also consider that most of the ultra lightweight components have rider weight limits.

Which pedals are thinking about, you can save weight on the fork and about 10 grams using deda bartape. Bottle cages, you can go lighter here as well

So you are not going to use the stock fork???....its sub 300 after cutting.

i use the aerolite pedals that are 74gms and i am currently using the fork that came with the frameset but i would love to change that but could not find a fork that was 1-3/8" that was less than this one. Which one were you thinking about?

That's pretty light for a 210 lb rider. Do you have experience with the sub 1100 g wheelset at your current weight that makes you confident with looking at a sub 900g wheelset?

I have been riding the enve 1.45 for a little over 8 months and they come in at 1081 or so and i like them, this would be the first set under 1000 grams.

If you roll it on tight it should be around 40, from the looks schmolke bars require a bit less tape maybe others can confirm
