Hi

after long hours and countless experiments i have managed to create what i think is the cheapest per gram bike in the world:))

here are the specs:

focus cayo frame - 60 pounds
full carbon fork - 40 pounds
neco caron headset - 17 pounds
extralite the post - 15 pounds
kcnc seat collar - 10
sram force modded cranks - 30 pounds
stronglight 42 t chainring - 7 pounds
nest titanium pedals - 28 pounds
china 97 g stem - 20 pounds
easton cnt bars - 10 pounds
selle italia slr saddle - 20 pounds
ultremo r 1 tires - 30 pounds
ultra comp tubes 14 pounds
american classic front wheel - 30 pounds
american classic sprint rear rim with neon trials hub - 100 pounds
gussset half link chain - 30 pounds

460 pounds spent.

i think that is the rundown

i did cut down the riser bars

i want to go lighter so i will take the clear coat off and sand the beauty layer off as well as remove any mounts. maybe drill the bb as well. and advice is welcome.

Thanks!

Great looking bike, are you going to get a bigger chain ring?

Nice, I like it!

I really want to lighten my single speed up, but I currently like how rugged it is and that I don't care to lock it up anywhere.
If I spent money on it I'd be concerned about it getting nicked!

Brakes? Foot retention?

Brakeless and no foot retention is beyond idiotic

In Denmark, a street-legal bike MUST have one(or more) brakes on front wheel, -and minimum one, on rear wheel !
Most normal bicycles have the "pedal-back" rear brake (Works only with intact chain), if chain brakes (or comes of), -the front brake can still stop You (save You).
-Good luck, riding in public with the missing brake/freewheel set-up.
Btw, You sure know where to get the components at low prices ! £60 for the frame...wow, and SRAM cranks £30(incl. BB ?) -I wish I could find these kinda bargains.. -Are they third-hand, or repaired items ?

Well I am doing some work experience at the moment in Bristol and I ride it to work every day and I have no problem stoping even downhill:) I used to ride a 52 14 gearing brake less. This is easy. Yeah I get the parts sh and fix them if neded. Soon I will get this to my goal of 4 kg

If You Hacksaw the frame (very hard), -Loose the stem/handlebars/headset, -Removes Rear Wheel (and chain), and buys a bigger saddle, -then The bike will look like this

-And the goal is easy reached.
The standard Torker cx Unicycle 2012 (no photo), is just 4.0Kg and costs £85 total.
-Now the minimalistic limits are : I pedal, I move, -and I stop... -Cycling !.......
