Really nice bike. How do you find it compared to the R5?

They Ride very similar
Thats why i choose the Parlee ( compare the Geometry !

BB Stiffness & Front Stiffness Feels the Same.

Rear Comfy Same

The Parlee offers just a Bit more Comfort in the Front in my opinion.

Both got. A very Agile Handling.
Like that.

The Thing that i dont like in the Z5i is that 25mm tired @ the Rear Wheel are the absolute max.

So a Bit more Tire Clearance Would be better in my opinion

Maybe for you.
I Train a Lot on Bad roads in france & really like 25mm tires.

If the Wheel Would have a light Side Impact it Would Touch the Frame for sure.

I mean trying to run 25s on a z5 is not worth the trouble.. Nothing against the 25c tires but they are a no no on a z5 frame the rear stays are too tight. ;)

I think it depends, at least a little, on the width of the rims...for example, I asked Parlee what is their max recommended tire size with either very wide Zipp Firecrest or Enve SES, and their answer is indeed 23mm tires...I'm going to mount Veloflex 25s on my chinese carbon rims (20.5 max width) and see if there's adequate clearance...there are many roads where I'd prefer to be able to use 25s.
2011 Tarmac Pro SL3 Project Black (gone but not forgotten)
2012 Parlee Z5 SLi (just because)
2014 Colnago C59 (why not)

I've got evne 6.7s and 45s both on the veloflex 23c carbons and they are great.. Given the veloflex 25c tires measure closer to 24 they will likely be ok ;).

Not so many shit roads where i ride and I run sensible tire pressures so I don't have a problem with the smaller tires
