I recently picked up a 2013 Superfly 29er on eBay, and decided to build it up as lightweight as possible, given my size (6'4, 235lbs).

I'll be updating the build as I get the parts. So far, here's what I've got:

Frame - 1,407g
Image

Seat clamp (stock) and seat post (Bontrager RXXXL, 27.2 x 400) - 232g

Front Derailleur (SRAM X9, 2x10, direct mount) - 137g

Rear Derailleur (SRAM X9, Type 2, long cage) - 218g

Crank (SRAM X9, 2x10, 36x22) - 721g

Right now, I'm deciding on what fork to use. Since it's a Gary Fisher bike, I'll be using a G2 fork. I can get a killer deal on a new RockShox SID XX, but I'm nowhere near the skill level on the bike to need that fork. Suggestions are welcome!

For the rest of the front end, I'll be using a Race X Lite 100mm stem and handlebar, with ESI Chunky Grips (60g - accurate to claimed weight). I've got the X9 shifters in the box (383g, with packaging), and Eggbeater 3's (286g)Image

For brakes, I'll be using Hayes Dyno Comps (on order)

Wheels are my current 2011 Bontrager Race X Lites, with Geax AKA TNT's. I'll weigh these when I put it on the bike.

I'll be sure to update the thread as things come in.

Will do. Right now, I'm trying to decide what fork to use. I'm undecided between the Reba RLT and SID XX. The main deciding factor will be the cost.
