My Specialized Allez E5. Not a weenie, but a solid training bike.

Thanks. This is my first aluminum road bike in a long time (20+ years- Cannondale 1988 SR800). I still love the comfortable ride of my Cervelo R3 (2009 vintage with BSA BB, standard 1 1/8 headtube), but this bike rides very nice. Very stiff in the front end and bottom bracket. It is not as smooth over the rough roads as the Cervelo, but rides very nice and snappy.

Great training/racing bike.

Very nice, I love the fact that aluminium is making a bit of a resurgence.
Were you able to get just the frameset? I've been making a few calls here in Australia and no-one is able to get just the frame, only complete bikes unfortunately.

I purchased it from my LBS as a frame set. It took about a month from ordering to receipt as they were out of stock end of February beginning of March. I'm in the States so that might be different for you.

Nice bike! I've got the same frame and really love the way it rides. Even though its supposed to be my race bike, I take it out more often than my carbon bike. With a carbon saddle and seatpost, it's not too stiff over the rough stuff.

Enjoy!

Did you buy a stealth Dorico post, or a regular one and stripped the paint yourself?
