you could lighten that by removing the boot, but that only compromises performance.
Best mod is to have it serviced and tuned to your weight.

I say get an XX1 spider and ring for your Hollowgram crank and go 1x10 or 1x11 (+ XX1 derailleur/cassette/shifter). I love the XX1 setup on my Funk, and ditching the front derailleur will save you around 250-300g I think. You do sacrifice a bit of gear range with XX1, but if you can live with that then its amazing (extremely quiet and shifts amazingly)

There are several options inside to lighten it, for example:

It`s not a big deal, to get a Lefty down to 1120g ( with carbon steerer ) with selfmade cartridge tuning ;) Greetings from Germany

Well, I am unfortunately not gifted with that kind of skills, so unless it is something I can go out and buy, I do not think I have that option.

BTW, if I want to run a XX1 setup, what do I need to purchase? Is it done with new chainring, shifter, rear mech and chain or do I need some kind of new cranks? I do not have much knowledge of this, I have to admit. Anyone?

you would need xx1 cassette body, cassette, rear der. front chainring, chain, lever and xx1 spider to your crankset.
weight saved about 10g if I calculated it right.
XX1 is ok for 29" but doesn`t really work on a 26"

Thanks for input. In terms of weight savings, dosent seem to make much sense.

No offense NT, but 10g estimated weight savings for switching to XX1 is completely wrong. I would bet good money that it will be more like:

- (XX spider + double chaingring) + (Leonardi or EP XX1 spider + XX1 chainring) ~ -50g
- (XX left shifter + cable + housing) ~ -150g
- (XX front derailleur) ~ -120g
- (XX chain) + (XX1 chain) ~ 0g
- (XX RD) + (XX1 RD) ~ +20g
- (XX cassette) + (XX1 cassette) ~ +20g

Sum ~ -280g or so saved by the switch.

I do agree that the stock XX1 chainring size (32 teeth) is really suited to 29ers, but its the work of 5mins to switch it for a bigger one (they're sold separately with this intention). Plus I'm advocating the OP continue to use their Hollowgram crank, in which case he'd be buying a spider and separate chainring anyway, rather than the stock XX1 crank.

ok I calculated it again and it seems that I was way off
must have missed something on the first go...
chain
about the same weight
cassette
xx1=264g xx=185g = +79g
rear derailleur
xx1=241g xx=181g = +60g
left shifter +cable+0,5m housing
-120g
right shifter
xx1 =120g xx= 108g +12g
front derailleur
xx direct mount s2
-112g
chainrings, spider bolts
xx=93+15+55 xx1=78+32 = -52g
total
-132g

OK that looks better! Seems I underestimated some of the weight increases of the XX1 parts (RD, Cassette) myself. Though the 11-36 XX cassette is about 20g heavier than you have here (that's the weight of the 11-32 one). I guess a 1x10 with X0 type 2 RD (200g vs 240g) and XX cassette (205g vs 265g) would therefore save about another 100g over the XX1 setup! Of course you'd have 28% less gear range, but clearly the lightest setup if it would work for you.
