I have been MIA for a while so thought I would re-introduce myself. I'm just a good ole boy from Charleston, WV (USA) that likes riding bikes. I have been searching for a new frameset for a while and finally made a decision and went with a 2012 Parlee Z5 SLi. I am hoping to finish building it up on Friday. It won't be a true weight weenie build since I am using most of the goodies off of my Colnago CX-1.

Parlee Z5 SLi
Ultegra Di2
SRAM S975 Quarq
SRAM Red cassette
Mavic Ksyrium SL wheels
Continental 4000 tires
3T Dorico Seatpost
3T Team stem
Ritchey WCS bar
Speedplay Zero Stainless pedals

That is pretty much the build I am planning, not real sure what it will end up weighing but since I'm not exactly a lightweight I have to be reasonable. At least that is what I keep telling myself. :D

Only way I was able to was because wrenchscience.com had it on sale for $2,795 (USD), I could never justify the $4,800 retail at this stage of my life. I was actually looking at a Pinarello Paris, Argon 18 Gallium, and a De Rosa Merak Evolution before I saw the price on the Parlee. I'm pretty sure I made the correct choice. :D

What size is that frame? Is it with hanger and seatpost clamp and FD clamp?
Light frame.

It is a medium frame. Weight is with the rear derailleur hanger only.

I screwed up again. My new bb30 bottom bracket came in today, unfortunately it doesn't have a bb30, has a PF30. I feel like a complete idiot! :o

I did receive my bottle cages today.

BB area pic, only one wire showing in there. I placed a small piece of tape to make sure that it doesn't come into contact with the crank spindle.

Stem before.

Stem after a little work.

Last but not least, how it sets now.

lovely frame, looks like a good build already.
one of the best finishes on the Parlee for a long time

Also how did you get rid of the logo's on the 3t stem and finish it of with?

Thank you. I actually saw how to get rid of the logo thanks to another member on his site. It only took a few minutes and a little bit of Acetone and the red stripe and the logos were gone. No damage was done to the black.

Nice work on the stem I saw the thread too but why that bar?

Did you remove stickers on the post too?

That is the bar that I had on my previous bike, may swap it out for a traditional bend.

The seat post came that way, bought it specifically for this build.

Sent from my fancy etch-a-sketch.
