2012 Cervelo R3 MUD, 54cm
I forgot where I read this from, but I thought these MUD frames were all made in California. Not that I care, just a bit surprised.
Frame 958 g
(include: bare frame + chain stay protector, exclude: derailleur hanger, BB cable guide, seat post clamp)
Frame 987 g
(include: bare frame + chain stay protector + derailleur hanger + BB cable guide + seat post clamp)
Fork 400 g
(include: inner liner + star nut) never seen it like this before
AMAZING tire clearance as advertised
These photos were taken with a long reach caliper. Not that this frame needs it, is because I didn't remove the Ultegra brakes from the other bike yet.
Different wheelset, these GP4000s2 tires measured over 31mm.
Edit: spell checked...

Most of the Cervelos are made in China.

@ dchan1234, you just put my fear in words
I don't remember where I read that these R3 MUD frames were supposed to be made in California but whatever. I don't really care where these frames were produced, as long as it is under Cervelo's supervision, Chinese frame could be great frames too.
However, I think the likelihood of a counterfeit R3 MUD is not high. Although this frame is rear, but it isn't a well known high end frames like the R5 or the RCa. If I were a counterfeiter, I would counterfeit a more well known and high dollar frameset, like RCA, Dogma, or S-Works... etc. Wishful thinking?

Thanks for that info. Anything I should watch out for? Any periodic inspections that I can do to catch early signs of future failure?
So far everything "looks" structurally sound to my x-ray eyes.
Pretty sure it's just the sticker that was made in China on the MUD. Those babies were made in Canada.

I bought this on eBay for $823.81 shipped, very happy with the price. If you look on eBay for sold history, you will find that 4 different R3 MUD's were sold since Summer. Some were listed much longer than the other.
I've been watching for R3 MUD on eBay since forever, and 1 frame per month is unusually frequent. I usually see it pop up once every 3 months. I guess is because of the weather so more people are selling their bikes.

I'm so mad I missed out on the grey one. I had it on my watch list to bid and forgot about it
