Looking really good...

I would go for a black saddle and black bartape... but that's just my taste :)

Nice build. But I also vote for black bartape and saddle, as well as de-stickering the wheels. And black or clear water bottles.

+1 - we really seem to spend a lot of time here telling others what *we'd* like to see cosmetically on *their* bikes...

Just sayin'....

BTW - killer ride. Those 404s look great on the Venge. Great parts choice, although I'm always curious as to how well the Specialized "house brand" parts stack up to the aftermarket guys. Any comment on how the bar/stem combo behaves vs. 3T / Zipp / Easton / or anything else you've had in the past?

Thanks for all the comments!

Regarding the tape/saddle I actually switched from black to white, I like it better. Might change back in the future, but for now it will stay white. And I usually carry see though bottles, I agree it does get a bit much with white ones.

I've now put 200km on the bike and I must say I'm blown away by how quick it feels, just amazing, and it climbs well too. Di2 is a real treat as well, so fast and it just works every time, sprinter switches are very helpful when riding in the drops.

I haven't noticed anything special about the specialized branded items, they seem to work great, they feel solid even when sprinting. And not too chubby either, stem is advertised at 115g for 110mm and the bars are advertised as 200g for 42cm.

Haven't really noticed them, I guess that's a good thing really, fells stiff and I've not experienced any roughness.
Are you sure your bearing preload is adjusted correctly, sounds like it's binding.

I've been using them since august, I imagine they help with my knee pain and I have yet to experience any drawback so I will keep using them.

Thank you!
