Man Rich your builds always turn into bitchfests regardless of the build. Sucks.

He sells through Embro because he thinks they do a better job of it, but the reality is his bikes are just a sideline - his main business is pretty big so he doesn't really need his bikes to keep him in business.

Not attempted to be a clever retort or finger-wagging - just telling it how it is.

This is a cop out and him attempting to cash in just like everyone else. Selling regular bikes isn't enough so he has to go back to a failed racing career to convince everyone that old designs are so much more superior. To me, the very fact that he doesn't believe in the main products he sells at his main business and has to make his own on the side is really scummy and implies that he has no confidence in what he pushes to 99% of his customers. Not only is that dishonest, its pretty hilarious that people actually buy into this.

When I was interested in a Gaulzetti Embro was extremely helpful- top notch dudes. I would easily buy a bike from them, just not his.

His customer service has zero issues from the communication I've had. I sent him a drawing of my then-current geometry and I'd had a reply with a drawing of what he intended to build only a couple of hours later, despite the time difference. A couple of tweaks via email and I was set to go within two days.

Compare that to a guy in London who wants to sell bikes through me taking two weeks just to get a drawing out and then ignoring me when I asked questions...

Yah, I contacted about 15 builders and almost all of them did the same except for a very few high volume builders. Oddly, he was one of the only ones that didn't actually want to see me on the bike and get more info about how I ride and function.

Nice looking bike dude.

Finally gone white/white on the bars/saddle. Good move!

Finally got the saddle and wheels sorted:

Had issues with the C-Record post though as the bolt won't hold, hence the Miche still being on there. Want to sort that because it looks lovely!

Very well BikeTart. Just not a frame that will sell very well in Italy, I suppose.

The frame itself is nice, by the way, but as an Italian I would have a great degree of difficulty purchasing one.

Not certain I understand these things, maybe I am getting older/old fashioned...

Its just the brand maker trying to be profound/controversial to sell more bikes.
