I would get the new Sram red brakes at least if you can't get EE Cycleworks. You have such a nice build, yet you throw on the cheapest brakes. They are not horrible but if you are looking at saving money, why go Red group, why not go with a Force groupset and other lower end options if you want to save money.

I don't agree. The Planet X brakes are light, cheap (or at least lighter and cheaper than most brakes out there) and work fine. In what way is that a compromise similar to your example of ditching Red for Force?
You could say the same about the wheels; if you can't get Lightweights you might as well get a set of Mavic Aksiums?
Really good weight for a 58!
Make sure you get Yishuns with basalt brake track, really digging my 44mm tubs.
Did you get the frameset new or second hand?

Frame is brand new. My Nan passed away and left me some cash so I spent some of it on a frame.....i'm sure it's what she would have wanted
I have some 38mm Yinshuns which are good on my wife's bike so I went for the 50mm for this; may get some zipps next year. Never tried veloflex before but I have heard good things.
Sod those EE brakes, they are too costly for me; they look great

My guess is it doesn't.
That would give 821g frame.
But if I can see well, it includes 4x cage bolts (4g) and I presume cable guide with steel bolt (5g)...?
welkman so it's not that bad with the frame weight. Only 7g difference (excluding cage bolts) compared to mine.

I ve seen a lot of R5 VWD around 750g size 51/54.... size 56 at 780g....does size 58 adds +70g (56 size)?
My R5 VWD LTD, size 56 is on the way from Cervelo Europe (replacemnet of R3), so I am wondering what the weight of my frame will be.
Bear in mind that I'm comparing 58 sizes. As far as I'm concern welkman's frame is in 58...?
In 56 it would be well off the scale, for 60 pretty good result.

I need to order bars and stem. I am thinking ergonovas in the blacked out stealth with the matching stem; what do you think? I could go for the red 'team' striped one as well. Rotor 3d Cranks have arrived along with Q rings Next I need to get my read mech, shifter and cassete, Should I go for classic or black edition? Red brakeset or planet x?
So many choices.
