To hell with it - go for it on the 9000!

Just means that you'll carry it to your next frameset ... but that's fine. Should lose the bike at least half a pound.

Always liked SLEs and they look great on your bike.

I've seen the mechanical group go for $1700-1800 on eBay, including everything. You can then sell off what you don't need, along with your current group, and make the upgrade for a bunch less (then use the money to buy the pedals)!

Ok so today I got a new bottlecage, the matt finish didnt finish that of the rest of the bike, So I got the RXL cage which is a mere 5g heavier and a whole lot more rigid.

Part one to the Dura-ace 9000 Project to shave 1lb in weight begins with the front mech.....

Bikes current weight is 17lb exactly with pedals and edge. not the 15lb the dodgy scales read in post 1.

One last shiny picture,

Ultegra 6700 front mech weight is 89g the 9000 mech is 66g so a weight saving of 23g.

It seemed upto the job but it didnt match the finish of the bike, but there is noticeably difference in how sturdy they are.

Not exactly a bike part but I was in need of a new helmet as mine was not adequate. I picked up a Giro Atmos in matt black. Fits nicely and keeps the head cool but straps are a fiddle to get right without them been uneven.

Im considering removing the white decals from the wheels and putting the stealth ones on, whats does everyone think? good idea or not?

Ordered a 11-25t cassette, every other cassette was out of stock in the uk, luckly 11-25t was available.
