The difference in shifting quality between the 6700/7900 generation and the new 6800/9000 generation of Shimano components is drastic. Where the old components felt sluggish, the new generation is worlds ahead. Shifting is smooth and relatively light. I'm sure some will argue that other manufacturers have better shifting, but for Shimano, they've returned to their previous best (7800) shifting quality, while still having hidden cable routing.

Some good deals can be had on 6800, and 9000 is remarkably affordable. You can also pick up a good return on your old components, if they are in good shape.

Bike looks great. Scenery isn't bad either.

I have in this moment Shimano Dura Ace 7900 groupset except cassette and crankset.

I'm thinking about made an upgrade to 11sp. Do you think Ultegra 11sp is better then DA 7900 10sp?

Thanks a lot.

i dont know, but i`d be very surprised, if the ultegra 11sp would be better than DA 7900 10sp

i`ll stay with 10sp as long as possible, dont see any necessity to change.

btw: nice bike, super-harmonious settings! :thumbup:

and love your pictures of porto, fantastic city!

@Krull,

Thanks a lot.

I decide to stay with DA 7900. I bought last week a new cassette.

Hello everyone...

I decide to sell my stem to change to 100mm one.

I have Deda's handlebar and seatpost.

Wich stem do you recommend?

Thanks.

If you come to visit the north of Portugal, you must visit the National Park of Peneda Gerês...

I tell you why in pictures.

This week I took the holiday to visit an old love. Montemuro and Gralheira summit.

Especially Gralheira is a magical place for me.

The new bike updates are:

Shimano Dura Ace 7900 - Shimano Dura Ace 7970 Di2;
Fulcrum Racing Zero - Mavic R-sys SLR;
Deda Campione handlebar - Deda Presa carbon handlebar.

But I have some aesthetic problems because of dura ace wiring. My frame do not support di2. Any ideia how can I hide the wires?

Thank you.
