So me and my last bike got creamed by a car last fall. I only ended up with a few small fractures in my neck vertibrae, a chipped wrist bone, and shit load of bruises. My bike on the other had faired a little worse than I did. The insurance companies have been a nightmare to work with, I decided to build up a TT/tri bike on a budget. Luckily most of my components from my G5 survived with only superficial scratches, and the insurance company did not confiscate them when they paid for property damages. So here is my list of parts/prices thus far.

Frame: Cervelo P3 size 54 (used) - $900
Wheels: Reynolds rear disc - $Free (given to me by a real good friend that recently went to go work for Sram.) I had to modify it to be 11sp compatible.
Front wheel is just the broken one from my wreck. Just a place holder for now.

Not too shabby. I still need to get a front wheel, a longer seat post, and bottle cages. I haven't weighed it yet, but I will as soon as it is completed. It will definitely be nice to have a dedicated triathlon bike this year for my races (half-iron and olympic distances).
