Well I have been WW this bike for no other reason than I can. I have been laxy though and used stock parts that suit what I am doing. XC racing mostly. I am not expecting the weight loss to make me any faster but some of the parts where either worn out or not suited to what I am doing now. I have had the bike in it various forms since new.

The orignal spec of the bike was Saint M800 cranks with a single ring and bash (heavy -1100g!), original bars and stem (heavy ~420g), Thomson Elite post, SDG saddle, Hope Mono min brakes and it was a single speed. The wheel were Hope XC Pro hubs on Mavic 721 rims (about 2.2kg without skewers). Total weight was 26lbs.

So I have changed a few things now.
Current spec is:
2003 Oranage EVO2 frame powercoated 19".
Exotic carbon forks alu steerer 445mm axle to crowm ~770g
Thomson All Mountain carbon bars
Thomson X4 stem 120mm (Ti bolts)
Thomson Elite seat post 27.2mm cut down and Ti bolts.
SDG Bell Air saddle - when it wears out I will replace with something lighter.
Hope Mono mini front brake -300g
Hope Mono mini rear brake a bit more than 300g
XTR M985 cranks 40-28T - 634g
Token BB (when this wear out the XTR one will go in) ~90g
6700 11-28 cassette - 238g
XT M771 GS rear mech 230g
XT 9 speed M771? front mech can't remember now what it is.
KMC 10-93 chain
Rear Wheel: A2Z hub 32H (234g), DT Swiss XR350 (350g) 32H rim, Sapim Laser spokes alloy nipple -730g

Front wheel A2Z hub 32H (120g), DT Swiss XR350 32H rim (350g), Sapim Laser spokes alloy nipple - 620g

Shifters: Paul thumbie adpaters with Dura Ace 10 speed bar end shifters
Cinelli bar tape instead of grips -21g
Ti rotor, lever clamp, shifter clamp, seatpost clamp, stem binder bolts
Alu headset tension bolt
Token 1 1/8" external headset
A2Z lightweight rotors 160F/160R 97g
Geax Barro Race tyres -405g or 810g for the pair
Michelin Latex inner tubes -120g each or 240g/pair
Veloplugs
Transfil workshop cables and outer
2x Tifosi carbon cages held on with Alu bolts-28g each
Pedals M520 These have to go now.

So some weight to saved on saddle, rear mech, bars (if I cut them down or change them which I won't), pedals and other minor bits but it is small changes now all the big stuff is done. May be I can shed another 0.5kg but it will require a bit more effort and money.

It not a looker but it weighs 9.24kg which is less than my wet weather/winter road bike
