I am looking to lighten up my Scott Foil 15. I built it up as a hilly course tri bike. I am competing in Las Vegas and Kona at World Championships and am reviewing the bike components. I am seeking advice to lighten the bike for these events.
Current bike:
weight 17 lbs.. I am looking at Madfiber wheels and possibly new crank

Integrated Aero bars: Profile Design Aeria
Stem: ENVE carbon
Shifters: Di2 Ultegra shifters, on aerobars and cowhorns.
Deraileurs: Ulterga Di2 front and rear derailleur
Brakes: TPR 960
Crank: SRAM quarq

Frame: Scott Foil HMF Carbon weight 2.8 lbs
Rear Cassette: Ultegra 12 - 28

Your groupset and wheels are probably adding nearly a pound of weight alone as a comparison to my build. Also, not sure how much weight difference there is between the HMX and HMF carbon frames and layup, that could be another 100gms maybe. Not sure.
