I guess I enjoy building bikes rather than riding them :lol:
Anyway, sold my C50 STSL in traditional geometry (size 51) and ended up with a sloping C60 in 45s.
@kgt/majklnajt, sorry for that!

Bottom line is, I went thru a Colnago dealer and requested to have a custom C60 in traditional geometry. My preferred geometry was then sent to Colnago for a review but ended up being rejected with Colnago suggesting that I opt for the 45s sloping geometry instead.
That aside, the 45s with its 51.9cm toptube is definitely a better fit as opposed to the 52.7cm toptube on my STSL.

Built list:
1. Frameset/fork/seatpost - 45s C60 in OFCG Classic colors (1146gr + 411gr uncut + 224gr)
2. Selle Italia C64 saddle
3. SR groupset with DP rear calipers
4. Easton SLX EC90 bars
5. Mavic skewers
6. Look Keo blade
7. Elite gold Patao cage
8. Silva bar tape
9. Extralite OC stem in 110mm.

Total weight:
6160 grams with black Obies (Veloflex Sprinter + Record front)
6260 grams with gold Obies (Veloflex Carbon F+R)
6380 grams with Ventoux (Conti Sprinter with 12/29 SR cassette)

Here’s the end result (damn..how I wish it was in traditional geometry :cry: )

@PinaRene,
Thanks!

Fellow weightweenies,
Question: Do you think the built will be better with Gold nokons :?:
Or should I stick with regular Campy cables?

Fantastic frame and great build!! The gold hue on the black carbon makes this bike something that needs to be seen in person....Let me be the first, oh wait I am definitely the first to recommend some gold Nokon's... :wink:

I vote for keeping the black cables, so as to not overdo the matching. No need to change perfection, it looks absolutely stunning as is!

Also I love the gold touch on the chainset! :thumbup:

Nice bike. Does your frame weight of 1146g include headset bearings or bottom bracket sleeve etc? Seems a tad heavy for a 45s.

@liam7020,
Yes the weight includes the headset bearings as well as the BB sleeves.
And yes it is a pig!!

Not too bad - take away the bearings and sleeve probably leaves the frame sub 1050g? You never buy a Colnago for the weight and anyway your final build weight is excellent. Cheers!

Keep the black cables - they are perfect in balance with the bike. There is only 1 thing that is wondering me ( and I have the same ) ... The tip of the saddle is not level for 100% but like I said ... I have the same on my SLR Teknologika Flow, think it's because it's handmade.

@PinaRene,

Comparison with Berk's combo on my Master. Looks like there's indeed a slight offset on the C64 lol...another point to note is that my camera isn't exactly level to begin with.

I don't usually like the Classic schemes but this looks great. Is that a size 45s too?

Awesome :beerchug:

Perfect.....
Gold looks nice when kept subtle, gold cables will be to much in my opinion.
The colour balance is spot on.
