My favorite is the 2007 SSL in black. http://www.racycles.com/assets/producti ... sl_6.9.jpg The grey is also cool, but this is just :unbelievable:

well, that colour scheme isn't bad at all*!

but actually the colour isn't "black". :smartass: it was called "pewter carbon", it was a lighter (weight-wise) paint than others and it was semi-transparent.

Well that is sick :) I've always thought that yours were just a different color. How cool is that.

Is that a Bontrager fork on your bike

Looks lot better than the "regular" Bontrager forks I'm used to see

yes, it is a bontrager x lite fork. if i am not completely wrong, 2007 was the first model year when the bontrager forks had this shape.

when i ordered my frame in mid-late 2006, shortly after the first pics had shown on the internet, it still said xxx lite fork in the specs for the high-end madone 6.9 ssl and 6.5 ssl. all frames/bikes below were going to feature x lite forks. however, during production it showed that the weight benefit was only minimal and therefore, according to trek, it didn't make sende to produce 2 different forks. it weighs approx. 380-390g.

for quite a while i have been thinking about getting myself an edge road 1.0 fork. this fork would help me shave some more grams off, but then it would be unpainted which is not an option for me. if i had it painted, the weight gain would be minimal, so it's not really worth it... :noidea:

wow, that belgium-site is pretty cool. new frames, amazing!!!

Can't see. But might be a replica, or maybe a 2006 madone ssl. If I'm not mistaken, or would believe that the 2006 6 series, became the 2007 5 series. Would love to buy it, but can't afford it. Not with my Canyon project in mind. And it would be stupid of me to take the opportunity for another person to ride such a great frame. If I get the chance of a 2007 madone SSL, I would probably buy it. Right now , I'm focusing on making my own Madone better. If I can't afford the Canyon, then I'm going all-in at the Trek one last time :)
I guess you are all over ebay at the moment, searching for the frame. If I see something, I'll post a link.

Looking at how the fork is made, I think it is a 2007 model.

If you buy a new frame, then you would sell your black Madone? ;)
Would you also make a nude carbon or a different color?

Not just ebay, I am all over the internet! :D
Thank you!

Well If I repaint my Trek, it will be a surprise. I don't think I would ever sell it. It's not worth it. I can't believe anyone would pay more than 1500 Euro. And that might be optimistic too.
