I know, those wheels dont go well with the frame. At least not that carbon pattern. UD would be perfect!

For the real Weight Weenies, I weighed the fork, frame, whole frameset....

Well done. It's already looking good. Out of interest, sans headset, what is the headtube length?

Thanks to all for encouraging comments! :beerchug:

@KB, its 140 mm sans HS. With HS, 160 mm.

I think Reynolds DV 46 would be perfect for this bike.
I would like to build it as LA had it in 2003. Because Newton 26 is too soft, 31 would be the real choice. But that dark metal polished Zero is really tempting!

Here with black Zero stem.

I think it would look good with a polished stem to match the seatpost. Great project, enjoying this.

You mean like in the previous page?
With custom made blue logos for the bar and black for the stem? ;)

Or did you mean the Dark Metal combo?

Are these framesets warranty items that were purchased from Trek? Any chance that the bike shop also has access to the original Trek Madone decals?
I also really like the colour, in some of the pics it almost seems that you can see the underlying UD carbon coming through the paint. Really neat!
Looking forward to seeing the finished product.
I have a pic of that Madone that was updated on my old computer I,ll see if I can find it and post it for you.

Pleased is an understatement...I am in love!!! :D
I am loving it more with every look at it!

It came with some protector decals, but looks like for a newer model.
I saw a lot of decals on ebay.

Hey, I thought that this frame was painted gray, but now I see that it is kind of grayish clear coat :?:
Anyway, Damjan I am happy for you and I can not wait to see it finished
