Hi, just finished building my 2012 Stevens Stratos, hopefully post some photos tomorrow, at the moment 6050grams less bottle cages, so not too bad, frame weight for size 54 was approx. 820grs, fork was 311grs uncut, seatpost was 151grs, which was all pretty close to manufacturers specs. Build list is:
Stevens Stratos frameset
mix of Campy SR 10/12 components
3T LTD bar and stem
SLR carbonia saddle
Mavic Ulimates 08 wheels
Conti Tubs
Time Ulteam RXS pedals
Haven't quite got the fit right yet, so should loose a little more weight when steerer is cut. Looking forward to first ride, as frame quailty seems very good.
Cheers.

Firstly, awesome work weighing frame and fork!

Secondly, the Steven's are unreal weights. RIDE reviewed the Ventoux in #57, out of the box it was 6.5kg  which at $7000 complete bike is mental.

Get some pic's up, keen to see it.

Bet there's also not many guys in the bunch who have one? (nice to have a unique bike)

Thanks, very pleased with both the weights and build quality, big relief as I had not seen one in person, first one in Tassie so I'm told which is good also.
Cheers :D

I can't find the Stratos on their website - is it a 2012 only model?

Either way - pictures. Please.

The Stratos was only out for one year. Basically the older SLC Team, but with press fit BB (wich I ordered last fall at my LBS but changed mind, a riding buddy finallly bought it, very nice frame  ).
There was a Carbotec sticker attached to the frame the LBS received, and many "asian" writings...

Now changed for the Comet for 2013.

+ 3 for pics !!!

Hoping to get a picture today, not sure where the frame was made, didn't notice any 'asian' stickers though, not that it really matters this day and age, is Carbotec a good manufacturer?
Cheers.

You're right.

They are reputed to manufacture some Pinarellos, Storcks (fascenario 0.7), Kuotas (Kredo Ultra)...among zillions of other brands.

So I guess their QC is pretty  .

Slight-semi-OT: has the geometry changed? Is the Comet the same as the Stratos in terms of geometry?

Comet:

I think all Stevens's road frames have had the same geometry for the last 6-7 years...
