Finally some better pics to introduce my Casati. (Dolan info below) It is full custom geometry with a standard paint option.
Casati has been a builder I have wanted to work with for many years and I finally had the opportunity to do so. The result is stunning and of course the pic does no justice.
Frame came in just over 1100 grams.
Complete weight as shown is 14.1 lbs (6.4)
Ride reports have been added further down the post. However, to sum it up it handles very steady, accelerates surprisingly well, and it fits just right! It just reminds me of a classic Italian steed with a contemporary flare. :D
I have to thank Roberto at Zar International who imports these beauties for helping me out a bunch on this. Thanks to those few on here that hooked me up with a few good deals on some goods as well.

Other things to note: Deda bartape is SHORT. The Vola normally has internal cable routing throughout instead of just brake. I went with a normal seatpost and clamp instead of a topper. AND, I love this bike.

NOW onto the Dolan.
I commute year round as much as possible. The Casati doesnt deserve such abuse despite having to put up with all kinds of bad midwest weather (including our first snow because the Dolan wasnt done yet). The Preffisio seemed to be the perfect bike for my bad weather commutes. The geometry is very close to my custom Casati and it is a bargain. Plenty of tire clearance for my 28c CX tires I have on there for the snow and fender mounts (those are on the way).
Dolan Preffisio
Campy mix of Athena carbon shifters, older Chorus r. der., Athena front, Zipp Isis crank, Oval Brakeset, Spec carbon post, Ritchey stem, and Deda bars. Wheels are Ambrosio Nemesis with cheap hubs and Tufo Rhino CX 28c tires or Ambrosio Nemesis with Campy Record hubs and (currently) Schwalbe Durano tubies.

Tasty tricolore paint scheme

Sometimes they make it look cheap but this one is nice

You're right, not enough Casati's on here!
I got it all finished today and so far it feels like a dream bike should!
The build list is:
Frame/Fork: Casati Vola SLi
Drivetrain: Campy Record w/Chorus Frt Der
Wheels: Campy Bora
Tires: FMB
Saddle: Prologo Scratch TR (what a nice saddle so far)
Stem: ITM 100
Bar: Zipp SL traditional (love the shape)
Cage: Arundel Mandible Matte (I need another one)...also, best cage ever
Misc: KMC chain, Deda Kawa Green tape, Campy shifter cables, and Cordz brake cables w/ Campy housing throughout. I had some alloy housing I could have used but it didnt look right on the bike. Will get something else for the brakes at least because its one piece for the rear.

The tricolore paint is quite nice which is why I didnt need to pay extra for custom. The green is very bright (and hard to match) but looks contemporary. Ive had a few custom carbon bikes over the years and this bright paint scheme is a departure from my matte black norm.

More pics soon. I took another one today but it still turned out terrible.

It came in at 6.4kgs/14lbs
Not too bad but I am sure I will see how light I can go as time goes on. Right now, I like the build overall and I am not exactly the same rider I used to be anyway.
I should have a ride report soon. Didnt have time to switch out lights and stuff tonight so another day this week I hope!

Beautiful bicycle, just superb! Love the paint and great build! :beerchug:

Casati definitely seems rare, but I've always wanted one... How do you like the ride?

I'll hold my judgement until you take a picture against a better background, that is probably one of the worst wall colours I have ever seen (apologies if it's at your house) and doesn't do your bike justice.
Prefer all black tyres too, sorry.
I do like Casati's though !
