Did you ride the Sea Otter Fondo today? Saw a bike with exactly the same "Stoked" decal today.

Hey! I rode with you for a little while up on Angeles Crest this weekend!
I was reading into FarSports wheelsets and came across your writeup, and then immediately recognized the picture of your bike.
Hah, small internet.

Very slick bike! Nice work.

Heat shrinking the frame protector on the housing...what a great idea! What material did you use? And an industrial hairdryer/blower or something else?

Besides being an awesome bike and a job well done these threads always make me feel better; my bike tinker is minor in comparison;)

EDIT: sorry, it was only showing one page, now showing 6. I'll read back through because I bet my question has been answered!

Yes, sorry - didn't spot this for a while.
It's about to get an upgrade to 11-spd (red 22) and some additional parts have been swapped around. New 9g carbon cages (not the Tune ones), Berk Saddle, new tuned red DR, etc:. I should have it all upgraded within a week, work pending, and so on.

On the hoods: I'm now using a heat-shrink method, 5-6g each (off the top of my head, I'll have to verify). I may revisit the ones that were originally used on this as some new techniques were developed after I wasn't quite satisfied with the long term viability of the original method.

Oh, I'm also running bar tape that is 10g (ish) for the entire bar, fully wrapped. ;)

Updates soon.
