Hello guys at Weightweenies,

For me, cycling was always a way to train for faster speedskating results (I'm Dutch  ). But since I started my internship (for my study sportsmarketing) at bellebikes.com I started to interest me more in material and weight of bikes. So here is my stunning Stelvio road bike, that weights less than 5kg's and is very stiff as well.

Image

We started to build this Stelvio frameset (906g) with Sram Red, but afterwards we put a Cannondale SiSL crankset on it and adjust our own CNC machined brakes (less than 195g/set). This ultra lightweight parts helped us to get the bike under the 5kg.

Image

Further options we used:
- 24mm AForce X-Light tubular wheels (895g/set) w/ Tufo Elite Jet tubes (<160g/tire)
- AForce X-Light bar (185g)
- Ritchey C260 stem (93g)
- Stelvio seatpost (127g)
- AForce X-Light sadle (96g)
- MT.Zoom carbon Delight botlecage (11g)

Hope you like it, if you have any questions just leave them below and I'll reply ASAP. Thanks!

Impressive Weight! Are the cable stops for the internal routing of the brake cable shaped weirdly? Because the brake housing looks a little bit too long on both ends.

The CNC machined brakes look shit hot! What cabling are you using on the bike?

The brakes are the Planet X ones which are discontinued and are now available from mr-ride on the bay or Bike 24

Looks spookily like my Hongfu 069. I have exactly the same brakes but SR gears. Mine is 5.73kg with pedals and Vittoria CX tyres, so only about 400g for my different spec. Nice.

Hello guys,

Good to see your replies. Today we recieved the Sram Etap, wow! I'm wondering what that would ride like, but the groupset is for Retail so I still have to wait for the Etap experience for a while. In three weeks we'll get some more and I hope I can get one on my bike.

@JoeFlan: I think you're right, the cables may be a little long or they do just look like they are.
@AUOC1OC6: The brakes are produced in-house, about the cabling: I come back on your question, I don't know exactly what we used.
@nomarkp: Thanks, I'm very happy with it so far!
@prendrefeu: I'll work on that this weekend, will post a full chart next week.
@baldy: I don't know where the frame comes from. Like I said, I'm on a marketing internship. Other employees do take care of our models and suppliers.

Thank you all! Will be back ASAP with answers!

The cabling looks stock... Should go with Powercordz, Alligator Link or Aican Bungarus

I'm with stevec1975, I don't see anything propriety about those brakes?
