Big rider needs a big frame. Some weights.

Seat, post and handlebar wil be carbon. Sram red crank, rival shifters, apex derailleurs and 105 direct mount brakes.

Just saw a red 58cm at the local shop yesterday, and it looked good. Head tube is a bit tall though. Gotta say, this would be a great crit bike with a decent component spec.

Thanks for posting. I'm interested in the Domane ALR, as well. Is that a size 62? Any progress on the build?

That crown race area looks interesting. Is that an alloy (aluminum) steertube with some built up carbon wrap to form the crown race? Or is there an actual metal crown race at the base?

Indeed carbon over the aluminium which forms the crown race, so no metal crown. Was actually a bit surprised by an alloy steerer for this frameset and price.

Sorry for the late reply. It's a 62 and finished it today, will post some pics tomorrow.

Some quick pictures after today's first ride. Very comfortable but some brake rub on the front, not sure if it's the wheels or the fork. Will try with some alu wheels later.

That chainset looks tiny! So what was the total weight?

It's a 46/34, plenty for me. Weight as in the picture is a little under 9kg, so not very weenie.

The deep wheel sets look great with that frame set but does kind of conflict with a 46T big ring!

You can go fast enough with a 46 and with a better chainline. When I het faster the 50 will go back on. Need at least a 58 to make it look proportional
