Image Here's my Tom Premier Plus doing what it does mostly; training in the rain and Winter muck. Bikes a total war horse, stiff, aggressive, but not for the mountains fo'sho. Got it in 2003 factory direct with a Fusion I also still have. Tweaked the TT and HT a little but otherwise right off Irio's chart. Great race bike but a bit outclassed by today's stuff (race an SL4 Tarmac now) so it gets the hard miles now. I'll never sell it tho.

TwiggyTN, nice rig. Non nonsense build. Nice cranks! Almost a shame to have them on a bad weather bike.
I would not worry about that being outclassed by today's stuff. Timeless bike you have there. Well done.

Here are a couple of shots of a "retro" XC race bike that I'm building. It's an alloy framed Trek 8900 sl. Still a lightweight xc frame that I felt could be a really cool ride with modern parts. I still need to install the cassette (Sram 11x36 9 speed), chain and tune it up. I swapped the heavy XT cranks and cartridge bb, for an fsa gxp ceramic bearing bb and single Race Face 34 tooth ring. Sram rival rear derailleur, carbon bar, stem and seatpost. XTR V brakes with lightened Avid levers. Bike (with chain) is 8981, which is lighter than I expected. I have my modern carbon race bike, but something about this bike just feels great. OH, and I have less than $300. Invested..

Yea, someone revived this thread! I always liked it. Nice Deda. I don't think that model is in their lineup any longer so what's the history / story on it? Looks good, great color.

hi, i think its from 2006. purchased frameset second hand, few years ago. its a custom frame from the first owner, who although is responsible for the paintjob. tubes are dedacciai u2-scandium, and it was manufactured in italy.
added some outdoor pics, because imo the one above does not do justice to the paintjob.
crankset is only placeholder for a rotor agilis p2max (which is on my tt at the moment)
