This is my new one. Colnago C40 (must be around 2002) in Team Mapei sheme.

Total weight ist 6,98 kg

For rainy or windy conditions I ordered a set of ambrosio crono rims and record hubs. The wheelset will be finished within the next two weeks. So pics will follow.

How do you like it?

My favorite Colnago ever.
- Zipp rims will break if you look at them too hard
- R-Sys wheels will spontaneously explode
- The ZG crankset will never, ever exist
- Everyone needs Lightweights, even if they're fat and old
- Parts actually made of metal are SO 10 years ago

Each time I think I'm over my love for the Mapei colored Colnago's, pictures like these appear and I'm pulled right back into the hunt for one that is for sale.

Beautiful bike.

That is either E.T. or a dog.

Awesome bike btw, indeed one of the nicest Colnago's out there.

I tried a white saddle during the building prozess. I did not like it.

I will try out blue bar tape in the future

Sweet - still reckon that my C40 was the silkiest ride of any frame I've owned, like floating on air!
