After that I need to make a choice to do one of the following:
- bite the bullet and swap to SRAM Red - with a little bit of work, this should get me to my target weight of 6.8kg.
- retire my current winter bike to become a turbo bike, relegate this Trek to the winter bike role and buy a new 'best' bike. Really like the Cannondale Supersix Evo Red in the graphite colour. Parts I've fitted to this would go straight onto the Cannondale. Potential then would be a <6kg weight. I could sell the standard new Cannondale wheels and other parts that I don't use and the cost would probably be similar to fitting a 2012/13 Red groupset to the Trek. I've got the front as low as possible on the Trek and I'm flexible enough to tolerate more, the geometry of the Cannondale would also enable me to get the lower front I'd like.
To be honest, at the moment I'm just enjoying tinkering and putting more and more miles into my legs.
