My new crossbike build - Ritchey Swiss Cross
Moderators: MrCurrieinahurry, maxim809, Moderator Team
I was in desperate need of new cross bike and wanted something that isn´t as every day common as say Focus, Fuji etc. There´s was few groud rules: 1. no carbon frame, 2. it has to be bright colour, 3. something that has heritage or "soul" if you could call it that...
And so i stumbled across to Swiss Cross frame at LBS. Few deep breaths and i left the shop with big brown box in my cars boot. I was only there to buy some bar tape...
This build is going to be race bike, winter bike, mud bike so it can´t be full on ww build but one eye is kept on scale.
The post and stem are there only to keep frame and fork in place. They will not be used in this build.
And required scale shots. Frame weight is with headset bearings in place.
Build is going to be Sram / Ritchey. I already have some parts and everything is orderd. Now i only must wait for that yellow DHL truck to arrive. Wheels are still open for discussion. I have one set of Planet-X Guru tubies that i could use but something tells me that i shouldn´t use those for this build...

Love that frameset - so beautifull!!! Thought it came with isp or is that just a option?
Good luck with your build

Some of the parts arrived. Rubbish phone pic. And it´s not fitted in any way to me. Frame it´s just holding parts from dropping to ground. It´s slowly starting to resemble something that can be called a cyclocross bike. Better pics to come.
It was nice to find out that Ritchey has managed to make stem so great that it wouldn't fit their own bar. C260 stem doesn't fit WCS EVO curve bar...
EDIT: After some head scratching i figured out that to fit C260 stem to Evo Curve bar you need to fit it to front side of the handle bar and then slide it to center. After that you just rotate it to back side of bar.

Stunning. Seatpost makes it!
Are the stem are bars red also? White gloss ritchey kit would also look cool as a cockpit.
