I don't have a scale but what i know for sure that it's feeling lighter than my scott addict R1 2008 with sram force 2010 and shimano c24 tubular wheels:

I'm talking about my speci s-works sl3 tarmac with sram red 2012 and LW ventoux special edition wheels:

could it be around 6.2kg orso?

Many thanx for your input

Please, buy some scales. When you have a weight PM an Admin or Mod and we can move it to the Intro section.

You should'v opted for a more budget friendly build that way you'd have had enough cash left over for a $10 scale  .

Ok guys, thanx for the friendly reactions...

But the mods have been very kind within the PM sphere (thanx Frankie - B)

So here it goes (scales from a friend - his time RXR at 6.5kg is visible at the background... ;-) ):

Image

speci s-works frame SL3 (54)
LW ventoux special edition
conti 28" competiton tubulars
sram red 2012
s-works crank (36-52)
toupé saddle (143mm - 135g)
dura ace 7900 pedals
easton slx3 handlebar (42cm)
easton ea70 120mm stem
s-works bar tape (white)
shimano XTR cable guides
cabeling that came with the gruppo
s-works bottle cages
sram red (2010 11x23) cassette (the 11x25 2012 edition is 6 gramms lighter)

So the bike is ready for the Otztal Radmarathon at the 26th of august

within a couple of weeks this frame will be switched by a 2013 SL4 black tarmac frame with white lettering (thanx to Racepoint, a belgian Specialized dealer); gruppo will be the same while I need to use my dura ace wheelsets before switching to 11-speed

Good lookin' and nice weight... of course, doing it with fancy LWs is cheating!

Jokes aside, a really nice build.

Nice ride - the white hub/spokes are the proverbial cherry on top of the bike's aesthetics!

Hey - what's it weight with the DA C-50's on?

thanx for all those fine reactions!

@dmoneysworks: I'm in Sölden now training around to be prepared for the 'Otzi'; didn't take my c50's with me, so I'll check it out once back at home.

Today I did the Gletscherstrasse, Rettenbach, Tiefenbach and Hochsölden and I used - let's say - an unorthodox wheel combination...

Image

Yesterday I rode the Ventoux to check out the Timmelsjoch on both sides and the Jauffenpasss at one side... climbed very well, but they creaked while climbing standing on the pedals... :|

If I can't resolve that isssue, I'll go back to my c24 tubulars...
