TrekUK frequently has snide remarks that lead you to believe that he either lacks tact, concern or both. :noidea:

I think this bike looks well sorted, and it is a pleasure to see something different than usual on the boards.

Read my second post!! that unfortunately fell onto the 2nd page and out of sight, and no I DONT frequently make snide remarks, its an opinion, you all post your bikes on here for opinion, its not like my thread was free from "snide" remarks. if we all had the same opinion it be a boring place to be.

There is a better way to say certain things...."why all the expensive zipp wheels etc on such a low end cheap frame?" is rather rude, and would be better put in a more diplomatic fashion. For example, "what was your reasoning behind putting the majority of your budget on the wheelset over the frameset?"

Then the OPs response could have been, "I had the wheels" or "they were on discount and fit into my budget", etc.

Makes perfect sense actually.

Only race what you can afford to replace. Frames break more than wheels.

Thanks for al the honest opinions.

Like somebody else guessed, I already had the wheels before I bought the bike.

And oke it's a cheap frame, but that doesn't have to affect the quality.
My budget was 2000€ (without the wheels) and I think I have a great bike for that!
but hey that's my opinion, I'm the one who has to ride it after all

Hi

Nice looking bike :).

Do you have the weight without the wheels?

Looking to buy a bike with similar specs, but with DA C24 wheels, and would I like to estimate a approximate weight before buying.

Regards
Erik

Thanks :D

The weight without the wheels (wheels, tubes, cassette, QR) is between 4,5kg and 4,6kg.
