Wow amazing looking bike and some nice upgrades too. XC bikes are starting to look really fun. Is the HA slacker now then 10 years ago at least that is what it looks like?

TI bolt on a stem I would never do. Maybe that is just a problem in DH but I do not want to take chances with anything breaking on my stem especially not for so little wait reduction.

After summer of racing it´s time to start upgrades for next season.

First wheels:

Here´s Roval SL 142*12 wheels

Front

Total of 1464. Some room for improvement.

New rims from LBS:

I´ve already ordered Tune Princess front hub but i´m having some trouble deciding which rear hub to choose? Spokes i think i´m going for DT Swiss Revos. Target weight is 1250 g.

Your rear hub options are pretty limited with spacing and axle size on those bikes. I work for one of their dealers and we get that question all the time, there may be more out there than we know but its pretty much the stock hub or a I9 or something super exotic (i.e Tune etc).

Wrong, there are x12-hubs from many brands like Tune, DT SWISS, POP Products, Extralite, Chris King (i suppose), Hope. And these are only the manufacturers i know right now, there might be even more. Most of them are offering conversion kits for their regular rear hubs. Ive ordered a 2011 Sworks epic frame which will get a wheelset consisting of King/Kong x12, Cxray and podiums. This will weigh around 1220 g.

BTW- there is still a lot of room for improvement.
- seat post collar by MCFK
- custom carbon sest post or new ultimate
- ultra light foam grips by specialized
- perhaps 2.1 rons as they are really wide on a podium
- syntace x12 axle
- tune speedneedle (give it a try, i was surprised that its much more comfortable than the toupe, i did the change myself!)
- hope discs

After some research i´m leaning towards Kong X-12 rear hub. Do someone know weight diference with CX Ray and Revo spokes? Superspokes are too expencive and hard to get here in Finland.

Thaks for great suggestions!

-MCFK collar is in the mail From Dulight.fr
-Enve seat post is here to stay :)
-ordered Specialized foam grips to test
-thinking of 2.1 RoRo or 2.0 Conti Raceking
-syntace x12 is bolt on so maybe some trouble when racing if i get a flat
-My behind didn't like speedneedle but considering S-Works toupe or Toupe Pro
-Hope disc are maybe or some Innolites. Rotors are Works in progress at the moment. Racing courses here in Finland are very flat
