Here's my new Parlee Z3.

I know I'm going to get comments about the stem needing to be flipped. I can move the CF spacer below the stem and flip it to have close to the same dimensions, but I may end up cutting the steerer tube and getting rid of the spacer altogether. Let me know your thoughts.

I have her down to 4.95kg with the following build:

Enve 42.0 bars 209.7g > Zipp SL ~180g = 25g since I would need to add bar end cap
Nokon Alloy Brake housing, Telfon coated cables > PowerCordz cable = ~20-25g
Stork Standard 172.5 Powerarms SL 460.1g including THM BB > I have a set of Lightning Compact cranks w/ceramic BB 409.8g (~50g) see last pic
Speedplay Zero Ti 166.3g > Aerolites TT (~66g) = ~100g
KCNC Cobweb 53/39 rings > 50/34 Cobwebs = not sure the actual savings but I assume there is some
Feather Brakes, Reynolds pads 199.4g > I have a set of 2012 CF Gravitas (stop better with the heated spring) at 174.4g with pads = 25g (could go lighter, but I enjoy stopping when I want/need to

This would get me close to sub 10. I'm going to switch out the crankset, rings, brakes (should I sand off the white skull logo to maintain the all black look? I may anodize the Recon cassette black as well.) since I have them already. Not sure about the Rotor stem since I like the Enve bar/stem combo look. If I switch out the bars I will change out the stem. I will probably buy the BTP seat post clamp and cages, so I should be down close to 4.82kgs. I know if I really wanted to go light I could to AX bar/stem, but I not sure I want to.

Any ideas to make her lighter, while maintaining stability and functionality would be greatly appreciated.

God damn that thing is light.

This is why having a professional fitter help design your CUSTOM bike is a good idea. No spacer but still good fit could have been possible.

I went with a stock frame and got a great deal on her since the dealer wanted to get rid of it. Otherwise I would have gotten the Small Tall version that has a 2cm taller head tube, but I didn't think it was worth ordering a new frame for an additional $3K knowing I can use spacers or flip the stem. Since I'm very flexible, I could flip the stem and slam it and get rid of the spacer without any back issues. I'll continue to ride her as is and then slowly adjust the stem (flip it with the spacer underneath > then reduce the spacer in half > finally remove the spacer and cut the steerer tube).

You guysl who ride small bikes really make me jealous. My Z5 is sitting at 6.1 kg in XL size.

Fantastic. A Z5 and a Colnago C59 are pretty much the only bikes in my list if I was to get a new frame right now. My questions to you is how is the shifting with with a salad combination of parts (Campy shifter and der, cables and housings, rings, cranks, etc)?? Nothing shifts smoother than an all Campy SR group, so how far from that perfection are you with all these part combos??

I decided to matte black her out since all my other bikes are glossy with much more color. I hope to have pics of my Wilier Cento Uno SL later today and my Wilier Imperiale later in the week. You'll probably like the looks of those better as I get more compliment from others versus the Z3, although they are amazed the Z3 is so light and I ride the Z3 almost exclusively now.
